Friends – 2005.
Cut & inked linoleum.
Part of the prize of winning the GAU Grafiekprijs 2005 was that I got to have a solo exhibition there. For this exhibition I made the series ‘Friends’. Live sized portraits of my closest artist friends at the time in linocuts. The images were made after photographs I took of them against a background of their own choosing.
